This plant thrives in bright indirect light, which means it needs a well-lit space without harsh direct sunlight. Ideal locations include east or north-facing windows, or spots near south or west-facing windows with filtered light through a sheer curtain to protect its foliage.

Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry. Avoid overwatering & ensure pots have drainage holes. Frequency may vary with season and light, roughly once every 5–10 days.

Alocasia plants are moderate to heavy feeders and thrive with consistent, balanced nutrition. Use a balanced liquid fertilizer (e.g., 20:20:20 or 10:10:10) every 2–4 weeks during the growing season (spring to early autumn). You can also mix in vermicompost or compost once a month to enrich the soil organically. Avoid overfeeding, as Alocasias are sensitive to salt buildup—flush the soil every few months with plain water. Reduce or pause feeding in winter when the plant goes semi-dormant.
