The Alocasia Bambino Pink Variegated (the coveted variegated dwarf Amazonica) is an ultra-rare, high-voltage collector jewel that brings candy-colored luxury to a classic silhouette. Celebrated for its slender arrowhead foliage and electric blush tones, this compact showstopper is a holy grail among rare aroid enthusiasts.

Each narrow, dagger-shaped blade features stiff, undulating margins and a deep, dark emerald-to-obsidian canvas cut sharply by bright silvery-white primary veins. The rare pink mutation splashes across the dark foliage with unpredictable, high-contrast sweeps, half-moon blocks, and fine marbling of bubblegum pink, soft rose, and warm ivory.

Electric Bubblegum Pink Variegation The crowning glory of this cultivar is its vibrant pink expression. Against the dark, light-trapping leaf blades and glowing silver veining, the splashy pink and cream sectors create an extraordinary, high-contrast pop under ambient lighting.

Compact "Jewel" Arrowhead Silhouette As a dwarf relative of the classic Amazonica, 'Bambino' stays wonderfully neat and compact. Its stiff, upright petioles support dense clusters of narrow shield blades, making it an exceptional luxury centerpiece for plant cabinets, shelves, or terrariums.

Caution: Toxic to Pets Like all premium members of the Alocasia genus, this plant contains insoluble calcium oxalate crystals. Chewing or ingesting any part of the leaves or stems will cause immediate oral burning, swelling, and sharp digestive discomfort in dogs and cats. Keep it safely elevated out of reach.

Light & Variegation

▾

Requires consistent, bright indirect filtered light. Generous ambient lighting is essential to sustain the delicate pink variegated tissues and prevent the foliage from reverting to solid green. Protect it strictly from harsh direct afternoon sunlight, which will quickly scorch and melt the delicate pink sectors.

Watering

▾

Allow the top 40% to 50% of the potting medium to dry out slightly before providing a thorough, deep soak. Alocasia root systems are sensitive to stagnant water and saturated potting media. Always ensure excess water drains freely and completely from the container base.

Soil & Humidity

▾

Thrives best in elevated humidity environments (60% to 75%) and warm temperatures to keep narrow leaf margins pristine and avoid browning. Always pot it in an ultra-chunky, well-aerated aroid mix combining orchid bark, coarse perlite, horticultural charcoal, and rich peat coir.
