Foliage Anthuriums are not only one of our favorite groups of plants but they were loved by houseplants enthusiasts all over the world. They have an undeniable magnetism about them.
- Leave the plant in its nursery pot for a few days, if the soil is looking dry and leaves are drooping, water the plant and keep in a shady location for a day.
- They love humidity but that does not mean you water them all the time. Keep the soil lightly moist during it's growing season which is spring and summer. Also, remember that the plant's watering needs depend on the light at your place and humidity. During winter you can water them every few weeks.
- They like filtered medium light, their delicate and beautiful leaves may burn with direct harsh light.
- They will grow in any soil mix suitable for philodendrons but in wild Anthuriums grows on leaf litter and moss so they would love a mix which is preferred by orchids. This is usually a loose, breathable mix of potting soil, peat moss, bark pieces and/or mulch, charcoal, gravel, perlite or pumice, and sphagnum moss.
