Add a touch of rare elegance to your garden with Pink Aparajita (Butterfly Pea) seeds. While the blue variety is classic, this delicate pink-flowering cultivar is a prized find for collectors. It produces the same vigorous, twining vines and unique pea-shaped blooms, but in a soft, ethereal shade of rose-pink.

Native to tropical regions and perfectly adapted to the Indian climate, the Pink Aparajita is a fast grower that provides year-round beauty. It is an excellent choice for vertical gardening, allowing you to create a "curtain" of pink blossoms over trellises, balconies, or arches.

🌸 Rare Color Variation Pink Aparajita seeds are rarer than the standard blue. To protect your investment, we recommend starting these in small nursery pots where you can monitor moisture levels closely before transplanting them to their permanent sunny spot.
☀️

Light

Thrives in full sun to bright partial shade. At least 5–6 hours of direct sunlight is required for heavy blooming. In extremely hot regions, the delicate pink flowers may last longer if given light afternoon shade.

💧

Watering

Keep the soil consistently moist but never waterlogged, especially during the seedling stage. Mature plants are somewhat drought-tolerant but will flower much more profusely with regular, deep watering at the base.

🌱

Soil & Sowing

Sow seeds 0.5 inches deep in a well-draining, fertile mix. Pre-soaking seeds for 12 hours is highly recommended. Space plants about 6–8 inches apart. They prefer soil that is rich in organic matter but well-aerated.

🌾

Feeding & Fertilization

As a nitrogen-fixing legume, it requires very little nitrogen. Instead, use a phosphorus-rich organic fertilizer or bone meal once a month to encourage a higher flower count. Avoid heavy chemical fertilizers which may promote leaves over flowers.

✂️

Pruning & Training

Provide a trellis or mesh for the vine to climb. Pinch the tips of the vine early on to encourage a bushier habit. Prune back any leggy growth in early spring or after a heavy flowering flush to stimulate fresh, blooming shoots.

⚠️ Common Growing Issues

Seedlings Growing Tall & Thin

This is "legginess" caused by insufficient light. Move seedlings to a sunnier spot immediately and ensure they have a support to grab onto as they grow.

Yellowing Leaves (Chlorosis)

Often a sign of poor drainage or overwatering. Ensure your pot has clear drainage holes. It can also indicate a lack of micronutrients like iron in the soil.
