The Variegated Hoya Kentiana is a highly sought-after, premium collector's wax plant. Characterized by its long, narrow, boat-shaped cascading leaves, this elegant climber features a spectacular variegation pattern of creamy-white borders contrasting sharply against deep emerald centers.
Unlike standard single-vine cuttings, this premium offering is an established, beautifully Bushy Plant containing multiple active growth points packed into a single pot. It forms a dense, full canopy of cascading foliage right out of the box, making it perfect for trailing down high shelves or hanging baskets.
Sun-Stressed Crimson Edge Blush
The absolute highlight of this Hoya is its ability to color-change. When grown under bright indirect light, the outer creamy margins undergo a gorgeous "sun-stressing" response, blushing into highly vibrant shades of neon pink, rose, and purple.
100% Non-Toxic and Pet-Safe
Fantastic news for indoor plant enthusiasts: all true Hoyas are completely non-toxic to cats and dogs. You can safely let its colorful, trailing vines cascade within reach of your curious pets with absolute peace of mind.
The Wax Leaf Rule: Do Not Overwater!
Its thick, semi-succulent waxy leaves are built to store water efficiently. The plant completely detests stagnant, heavy mud. Always allow the potting medium to dry out almost entirely before giving it another deep soak to prevent root rot.
Light
▾
Requires bright, indirect, filtered light. High ambient light levels are absolutely essential to sustain the white variegation and trigger the beautiful pink sun-stressed borders. Avoid harsh direct midday sun, which will scorch the leaves.
Watering
▾
Treat it like a succulent. Allow the top 75% of the soil mix to dry out entirely before watering thoroughly. When in doubt, leave it dry for a few more days. Wrinkled or slightly pliable leaves are a safe indicator that it's ready for water.
Soil & Care
▾
Thrives in high humidity (50%+) but adapts easily to normal household levels. Always grow it in an ultra-chunky, porous mix of orchid bark, perlite, charcoal, and coco coir to keep the roots perfectly aerated and free-draining.
