Sale price  ₹ 699.00 Regular price  ₹ 1,599.00

Oberonia are miniature epiphytic plants with the leaves arranged fan-like, overlapping at the base and spreading near the tips. Large numbers of tiny, short-lived, cup-shaped, non-resupinate flowers are arranged on an arching flowering stem that emerges from the base of the uppermost leaf.

Size: 2-4 inches as in picture.

Pot Size: Grown in wooden board.

The above specifications are indicative only. The actual size and color of the plant may vary. Plants do not have any flower spike and are not blooming at the moment.

Watering

Keep evenly moist with high humidity. Constant air movement is also important.

Potting Mix

Oberonia orchid can be grown mounted on slabs of wood or tree barks. However, all the species can be grown in shallow pots, or even baskets. One requirement is to retain enough moisture at the root, as most species don’t like to dry out.

Light

Filtered diffuse light, no direct sun.

Dispatch Details: Plants will be shipped attached to wooden board.

Care Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Light:

This plant thrives in bright indirect light, which means it needs a well-lit space without harsh direct sunlight. Ideal locations include east or north-facing windows, or spots near south or west-facing windows with filtered light through a sheer curtain to protect its foliage.

Water:

Water deeply 2–3 times a week, depending on weather and soil type. Early morning or late evening is best. Increase frequency during peak summer or dry spells.

Growing Media:

For these plants, use a growing medium composed of 40–50% orchid bark (medium to large) for airflow and root anchoring, 20–30% charcoal to absorb impurities, 10–20% perlite or pumice for drainage, and 10–15% coco chips or husk to retain light moisture. Optionally, add a small amount of sphagnum moss in dry conditions to maintain humidity. This blend ensures excellent aeration and prevents root rot, ideal for thriving in Indian climates.

Feeding & Fertilization:

For these plants, use a balanced orchid-specific liquid fertilizer (such as 20-20-20) diluted to one-quarter to half strength, applied every 2 weeks during active growth. During blooming or rest periods, reduce feeding to once a month or pause it altogether.
