Philodendron Florida Ghost is a beautiful plant with a unique character. They are easy to care for plants and love to climb.

Each plant does its’ own thing when it starts growing and climbing. The colors of the leaves are very interesting. They start white, hence the name “Florida ghost”.

As they get a bit older, they turn a pretty yellow-green. When the Philodendron Florida hits full maturity, the leaves become a darker green.

Size: 6 inches to 10 inches as per Production.

Watering

The Philodendron Florida Ghost is a water-loving plant. However, overwatering can lead to fungal infections and death. Before watering, make sure the soil is dry.

Potting Mix

Nutrient-rich well draining potting mix is best for them.

Light

We would recommend keeping these tropical plants in medium to bright indirect sunlight. In summers, a spot with partial shade is perfect.

Initial Care (After receiving the plant)

  • Leave the plant in its nursery pot for a day. if the soil is looking dry and leaves are drooping, water the plant and keep it in a shady location for a day.

Light

Philodendrons require medium to bright, indirect light. Place it near an east- or west-facing window, but out of direct sunlight.

Water

Water your philodendron deeply and then allow the top inch or two of soil to dry out before watering again. Water until it runs out of the drainage holes at the bottom of the pot.

Growing Media

A good potting mix for philodendron plants should be well-draining, rich in organic material, and slightly acidic. Some gardeners recommend a mix of two parts peat moss, two parts potting soil, and one part perlite or sand. For increased drainage, you can also add a few handfuls of pumice or organic matter such as compost or worm castings.
