The Anthurium Veitchii 'King' is undisputed royalty in the rare plant world. Native to the wet rainforests of Colombia, this legendary epiphytic aroid is highly coveted for its massive, elongated, pendulous leaves that feature spectacular, deeply impressed horizontal pleats.

Caution: Toxic to Pets

Light

Requires bright, filtered, indirect light. Dappled canopy light is ideal to support the rapid sizing of its magnificent leaves. Strictly avoid any harsh, direct afternoon sun, which will quickly scorch and permanently scar the heavy ridges.
Watering

Keep the mix lightly and evenly damp, but never waterlogged. Water thoroughly once the top 1 to 2 inches of the chunky mix dry out. Its thick, fleshy roots require constant access to moisture but will rapidly succumb to rot if left in stagnant mud.
Humidity & Soil
▾
Thrives best in high humidity (70%+) to prevent crispy leaf edges and assist new leaves in unfurling cleanly. Always pot it in an ultra-loose, chunky, breathable aroid mix containing plenty of orchid bark, sphagnum moss, perlite, and charcoal.
