This plant prefers shade, meaning it grows best in areas with minimal direct sunlight. Ideal locations include corners of rooms away from windows, shaded balconies, or under larger plants or furniture where light is soft and diffused throughout the day.

Mounted Orchids (e.g., on coconut husk or wood):
Water daily during hot months or when humidity is low. Mist in the morning so roots dry by evening. In cooler weather, reduce to every 2–3 days.

Potted Orchids (in bark/airy mix):
Water thoroughly once the top 1–2 inches feel dry—usually every 3–5 days in summer, and once a week in winter. Always let excess water drain out completely.

For these plants, use a growing medium composed of 40–50% orchid bark (medium to large) for airflow and root anchoring, 20–30% charcoal to absorb impurities, 10–20% perlite or pumice for drainage, and 10–15% coco chips or husk to retain light moisture. Optionally, add a small amount of sphagnum moss in dry conditions to maintain humidity. This blend ensures excellent aeration and prevents root rot, ideal for thriving in Indian climates.

For these plants, use a balanced orchid-specific liquid fertilizer (such as 20-20-20) diluted to one-quarter to half strength, applied every 2 weeks during active growth. During blooming or rest periods, reduce feeding to once a month or pause it altogether.
